Marine & Coastal Construction Insurance
We provide tailor made insurance solutions for large marine construction companies and marine construction projects. We have expertise in arranging the complex insurance required for this specialist work. Building large structures from boats and barges using heavy machinery requires a complete understanding of the risks and processes involved.
We have worked on large port expansion projects in Ireland which have involved dredging of berthing and navigation channels, wharf and quay extensions, coastal defence and revetments construction. Other projects have involved the building of caisson structures in dry docks which are then transported to their final position by floating and towing by barge. We have also arranged insurance for the construction and transportation of bridges which are constructed off site and then transported by barge to be lifted into their final position by tandem lift.
